Harvesting Together
The aim of the men program is to bring together African immigrants to explore the challenges and obstacles they encounter in their new community. The goal is to establish a support network where these men can share their experiences and find assistance in navigating their daily lives.
Women’s Focus Group
The goal of this program has been to identify and assemble a select group of women participants that formed a focused group that could serve as a representative sample of the African immigrant community in SE Portland. These women, from diverse backgrounds, ages, and cultures, created a space where they could share personal experiences and insights, as well as identify common challenges and needs faced by African immigrants in their new environment. The issues highlighted during this process will be crucial for AFHHO to develop and offer new, community-driven resources that address the actual needs of the community.
